Baseball Recap: Rubidoux Comes Up Short at Home Against Perris

Rubidoux unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Perris Panthers on Tuesday, falling 13-5. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 12 in a row.

Erick Castillo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rubidoux will square off against Temecula Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perris, they will challenge San Jacinto Valley Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
