Recap: Millsap Bulldogs vs. Brock Eagles
The Millsap Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 70-36 loss at the hands of Brock. While losing is never fun, Millsap can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1268th, while Brock is ranked 244th).
Millsap lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Braylon Pugh, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tripp Moore, who scored six points.
Millsap has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-23 record this season. As for Brock, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 25-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millsap will take on Breckenridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Millsap focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. As for Brock, they will head out on the road to square off against Dublin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Dublin: they have been struggling with 11 straight losses at home, while Brock has snatched up eight consecutive wins on the road.
