Soccer Recap: Tolleson Triumphs

It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Tolleson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They beat the Williams Field Black Hawks by a goal, winning 2-1. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Black Hawks are ranked 75th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tolleson's win bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Williams Field, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8-1.

Tolleson wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-2 victory against Cibola on the 28th. Williams Field has also already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Desert Ridge on the 30th.
