Soccer Recap: Central Triumphs

Central proved they can win big on Friday (they won by four) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past the Buckhorn Bucks 1-0. The Red Devils' winning goal came courtesy of Earl Armstrong.

Central pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matches. As for Buckhorn, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Central will take on Smiths Station at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season. As for Buckhorn, they will challenge Scottsboro at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
