Basketball Recap: Midland Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Midland can now relate to. They fell 70-59 to the Ringgold Redskins on Friday. The Rebels' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ringgold to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keenan Johnson, who shot 53% from the field en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Those 21 points gave Johnson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of LaDaunte McCoy, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 16 points and eight rebounds.

Midland now has a losing record of 17-18. As for Ringgold, they pushed their record up to 13-18 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Midland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ringgold, they will take on Franklin on Tuesday.
