Forest Hill got themselves on the board against Santaluces on Tuesday, but Santaluces never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Chiefs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-3 last Tuesday.

The result came thanks to Ryan Gonzalez's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Yampiel Chavez was a standout: he scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Nicholas Castro also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Forest Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santaluces only posted an OBP of .095.

Forest Hill has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. Santaluces' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forest Hill will square off against West Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Santaluces, they will face off against Treasure Coast at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
