Baseball Recap: Western Heights Falls Short of Noble in the Playoffs

Western Heights and Noble squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Western Heights had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bears, falling 18-2. The Jets haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Western Heights saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keziah Howell, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Howell has become a key player for the Jets: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 10-13 otherwise.

Western Heights' loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Noble, their win bumped their record up to 23-10.

Western Heights has already played their next match, a 7-1 victory against Altus on the 9th. Hopefully Noble paid attention to the Jets' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Jets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
