Volleyball Recap: Struthers Comes Up Short

Struthers lost against South Range on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Raiders, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-14.

Ashley Marcucci paced Struthers' offense, picking up four kills. Marcucci got some help from Andonia Kavouras and her five assists. Finally, Chloe Curd kept Struthers' defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Struthers has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for South Range, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Struthers has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Poland Seminary on the 2nd. As for South Range, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Canton Central Catholic on the 1st.
