Soccer Recap: Academy of the Sacred Heart Comes Up Short

After flying high against Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit on Wednesday, Academy of the Sacred Heart came back down to earth. Academy of the Sacred Heart fell just short of the Roeper Roughriders by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Academy of the Sacred Heart were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Roeper apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Academy of the Sacred Heart's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Roeper, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Academy of the Sacred Heart will face off against Gabriel Richard at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Roeper, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Everest Collegiate at 5:00 p.m. on April 8.
