Softball Recap: Moapa Valley Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Moapa Valley got themselves on the board against Western on Monday, but Western never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 21-0 margin over the Warriors. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

Moapa Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Western, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Moapa Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Cheyenne at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Western will challenge rival Democracy Prep Agassi Campus at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
