Baseball Recap: Breckenridge Victorious

After losing to Carson City-Crystal the last time they met, Breckenridge decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Huskies came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 4-1 on Thursday.

Noah Barr spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gavin Corbat was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Braxton Clapp, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run.

The victory got Breckenridge back to even at 2-2-1. As for Carson City-Crystal, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
