Football Game Preview: Tri-Valley Vikings vs. Rockridge Rockets

The Tri-Valley Vikings will square off against the Rockridge Rockets at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Tri-Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Richards a 44-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Warriors are ranked 463rd).

Meanwhile, Rockridge strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past Illini West to the tune of 56-12.

Tri-Valley's record now sits at 8-2. As for Rockridge, their record is now 10-0.

Tri-Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Rockridge in their previous matchup back in October of 2021, but they still walked away with a 47-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
