Recap: Prairie Heights Panthers vs. Central Noble Cougars
This season hasn't been kind to The Prairie Heights Panthers, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They lost to Central Noble on the road by a decisive 14-0 margin on Friday. Prairie Heights lost against Central Noble in their previous head to head back in September, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 52-0 score last time.
Devin Hiestand was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Hiestand was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards.
Central Noble's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Leading the way was Adam Marker and his two sacks.
Prairie Heights' defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.8 points per game. As for Central Noble, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Prairie Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central Noble will head out on the road to face off against Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Manchester is ranked 252nd, while Central Noble is ranked 250th).
