Volleyball Recap: Bedford Comes Up Short

Bedford was the 2-0 winner over Dexter when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Kicking Mules lost 3-0 to the Dreadnaughts on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Kicking Mules have suffered against the Dreadnaughts since October 25, 2021.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-10.

Lucy Monahan paced Bedford's offense, picking up seven kills. Monahan got some help from Olivia Eby and her 12 assists. Finally, Monahan was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Bedford's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Dexter, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-1-2.

Bedford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Walled Lake Western on the 27th. As for Dexter, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Monroe on the 30th.
