            Baseball Recap: Community School of Davidson Spartans vs. Pine Lake Prep Pride        
        
		
        
        
            Community School of Davidson extended their losing streak  to four  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 9-7 in the process. They took  a  10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pine Lake Prep Pride. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pride this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  11-1  on Thursday.
As for Pine Lake Prep, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games.
For Pine Lake Prep's part,  Jackson Drury looked comfortable as he  pitched 2.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Drury has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Dylan Brandt, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.  Alec Brown was another key player,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  runs.
 Community School of Davidson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  an  8-4  defeat against Lincoln Charter on the 30th. As for Pine Lake Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  14-1  win against Mountain Island Charter on the 30th.
