Soccer Recap: Richardson Takes a Loss

Richardson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lake Highlands Wildcats, falling 5-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in February.

Richardson's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Lake Highlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Richardson will face off against MacArthur at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Richardson has given up an average of 3.1 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Lake Highlands, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Lake Highlands face off against Irving at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
