Desert Vista waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Everything went their way against the Cesar Chavez Champions as they made off with a 19-1 win. The Thunder have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Champions, too.

Desert Vista got a massive performance out of Takoah Jones, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Jones a new career-high. Jessa Ramirez was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Desert Vista always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .833. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Desert Vista's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Cesar Chavez, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
