Basketball Recap: Cypress Creek Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Cypress Creek Coyotes ended up a good deal behind the Clearwater Tornadoes and lost 60-43. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Cypress Creek still got an impressive performance from Manuel Castro, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 11 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Cravotta, who posted seven points.

Clearwater's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kris Foote, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Foote has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Keshawn Andrews, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards.

Cypress Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Clearwater, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.

Cypress Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-53 win against Evangelical Christian on the 28th. As for Clearwater, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 71-54 victory against Sickles on the 28th.
