Volleyball Recap: Herington Takes a Loss

Herington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elyria Christian. The Railroaders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Elyria Christian earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

While Herington ultimately came up short, they really made Elyria Christian work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24.

Herington's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18-3. As for Elyria Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-17 record this season.

Coincidentally, Herington and Elyria Christian will both be playing Rural Vista [Hope/White City] the next time they take the court. Elyria Christian will head out to face the Heat at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Railroaders will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
