Baseball Recap: West Fork Comes Up Short

West Fork came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Elkins Elks, falling 16-6. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Elks this season, with their most recent loss being a 12-2 defeat on April 7th.

Konnor Kirk made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

West Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Elkins, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

While West Fork had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
