Volleyball Recap: Snake River Comes Up Short

If Snake River was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of American Falls on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rigby Trojans on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat back in August.

Snake River's offense was headlined by Grace Gilbert and Sanorah Garza, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Aydyn Anderson and her eight assists.

Among those leading the charge was Breleigh Youngstrom, who had 13 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Snake River's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Rigby, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Snake River and Rigby will both be playing Twin Falls the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Bruins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
