Basketball Game Preview: Davis County Mustangs vs. Knoxville Panthers

The Davis County Mustangs will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Knoxville Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Davis County saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took down West Prairie 60-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Knoxville put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Clarke 72-41.

Knoxville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.3 points per game. As for Davis County, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Davis County came up short against Knoxville in their previous meeting back in February, falling 72-65. Can Davis County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
