Softball Recap: Sullivan Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sullivan can now relate to. They came up short against the West Vigo Vikings on Tuesday, falling 9-0. The Golden Arrows were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but the Vikings' pitcher proved too tough.

Sullivan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mylee Vandevender, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Sullivan moved to 15-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for West Vigo, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-3.

Coming up, Sullivan will challenge Linton-Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Vigo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
