Soccer Recap: Sherando Takes a Loss

Sherando lost against Millbrook on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Sherando came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Millbrook are ranked 240th).

Sherando's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Millbrook, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-10.

Coincidentally, Sherando and Millbrook will both be playing James Wood the next time they take the pitch. The Pioneers will head out to face the Colonels at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
