Basketball Recap: Fauquier Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Meridian, Fauquier was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Warren County Wildcats with a sharp 70-44 win. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Wildcats are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Warren County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Joseph Macdougall, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Bryce Bergmann, who went 5 of 11 en route to 14 points.

Fauquier's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. As for Warren County, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
