Georgetown is 8-2 against Blanchester since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The G-Men will host the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Georgetown has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Georgetown after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Williamsburg, falling 13-1. The defeat continues a trend for the G-Men in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost seven in a row.

Georgetown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Vest, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Blanchester had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They never let the Rockets get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory.

Not much got past Reece Ledford, who gave up just three hits to keep Archbishop McNicholas off the board.

Blanchester's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Georgetown, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
