Baseball Recap: St. Paul's Comes Up Short

St. Paul was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-4 to the Sam Houston Broncos. Surprisingly, this marked the third straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Cameron Caime made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Brennan Keim, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Sam Houston, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sam Houston beat St. Paul's by a score of 15-0 later that day.
