Volleyball Recap: Liberty County Falls Despite Big Games from Whitlee Harvey and Allie Roberts

It was a good run, but Liberty County unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Chipley Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Liberty County took Chipley into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-23, 21-25, 17-15.

Allie Roberts and Whitlee Harvey certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Roberts had nine digs and one assist, while Harvey had 29 kills, 29 digs, and two aces. Harvey is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had nine or more in each of the last 37 games she's played dating back to last season.

Liberty County's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Chipley, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Liberty County has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Branford on the 6th. As for Chipley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against North Bay Haven Academy on the 6th.
