             It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Providence Day had no problem doing just that  on Friday. They took their  match  with ease, bagging  a  54-7 win over the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers. Given the Chargers' advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings  (they are ranked eighth, while the Buccaneers are ranked 163rd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Providence Day didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Moses Poku-Kankam,  Lucas Sutton,  and  Cairo Skanes picked up one apiece.
 Despite the loss, Charlotte Country Day School still got an impressive performance from   T.J. Valentine, who picked up 107 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 Providence Day pushed their record up to 8-2 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Charlotte Country Day School,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 4-7.
 Providence Day has already played their next game,  a  28-20  win against Charlotte Christian on the 8th. Charlotte Country Day School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
