Football Recap: Melbourne Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Thursday. Melbourne fell 14-7 to St. Cloud. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against St. Cloud this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-6 back in February.

Melbourne has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for St. Cloud, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Melbourne will host Vero Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 11.6, the Indians 9.6) so any points scored will be well earned. As for St. Cloud, they will venture away from home to square off against Innovation at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are facing the Bulls at the right time seeing as the Bulls are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
