Recap: Banner County Wildcats vs. Hemingford Bobcats
The Banner County Wildcats suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2023 on Monday. They suffered a tough 47-21 defeat at the hands of Hemingford. Banner County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-1.
Leeigh McGowan was Banner County's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. McGowan also led the team in rebounds with 17.
Abigayle Jones took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Banner County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Hemingford, their win ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Banner County will face off against Minatare on Friday. As for Hemingford, they will head out on the road to take on Gordon-Rushville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Gordon-Rushville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 last Friday.
