Volleyball Recap: Ruston Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Ruston kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Airline Vikings by a score of 2-1. The Bearcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Ruston started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 0-25, 25-0, 15-0.

The victory made it two in a row for Airline and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Ruston will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on West Ouachita at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Airline, they are taking a road trip to take on Northwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
