DeLand entered their tilt with New Smyrna Beach on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Barracudas 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

DeLand never let New Smyrna Beach on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24, 25-17.

Leading DeLand to victory were Taylor Fonseca and Sophie Jones. Fonseca had 16 digs and one assist, while Jones had seven digs.

DeLand was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

DeLand's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for New Smyrna Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Coming up, DeLand will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Spruce Creek at 6:00 p.m. As for New Smyrna Beach, they will venture away from home to square off against Seabreeze at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
