Baseball Recap: Desert Comes Up Short

Desert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 14-2 to the Boron Bobcats. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Scorpions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Desert saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Dion, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Another was Nick Webb, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Desert's record is now 4-8. As for Boron, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert will challenge Silver Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Scorpions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Boron, they will square off against California City at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Bobcats have won six straight at home, while the Ravens won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
