Football Recap: Southridge Suns vs. Walla Walla Blue Devils

Southridge won the last time they faced Walla Walla and Gabe Borisch did his part to make sure it happened again. The Suns simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Blue Devils 49-21 for which the team can thank Borisch, who rushed for 241 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tayton Jackman, who gained 82 total yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending one pass.

Southridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Stockton Parrish, Koven Burke, Chase Ferguson, and DeMario Cruz picked up one apiece. Parrish also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 13. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory got Southridge back to even at 2-2. As for Walla Walla, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
