Soccer Recap: Yorkville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Joliet Central on Thursday, Yorkville came back down to earth. The Foxes fell just short of the Plainfield Central Wildcats by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Yorkville couldn't quite close it out.

Yorkville's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Plainfield Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yorkville will venture away from home to face off against Plainfield South at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Plainfield Central, they will head out to square off against Aurora East at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
