Recap: Blum Bobcats vs. Clifton Cubs
The Blum Bobcats lost against the Clifton Cubs back in November of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Blum suffered a tough 48-26 loss at the hands of Clifton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Blum has scored all season.
Clifton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Laylah Gaona, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Gaona scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Camy Barsh, who scored 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Blum and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Clifton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Blum will head out on the road to face off against Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clifton and Strawn will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Strawn is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
