Baseball Recap: Garfield Heights Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Garfield Heights finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Maple Heights Mustangs, falling 20-1. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Garfield Heights saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was D'COREY MARTIN, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Garfield Heights' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Maple Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3-1 record this season.

While Garfield Heights had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
