Meanwhile, Pflugerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Weiss, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Braelynn Williams made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Georgetown's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Pflugerville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-17-1.

Georgetown took their win against Pflugerville in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
