Softball Game Preview: Attica Red Ramblers vs. Riverton Parke Panthers

Attica hasn't had much luck against Riverton Parke recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Red Ramblers will take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Attica's offense. They lost 11-0 to Seeger on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Red Ramblers' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matches, Riverton Parke finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They came up short against Terre Haute North Vigo, falling 12-1. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this game were averaging 2.42 runs allowed.

Riverton Parke saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Ugoletti, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

With the defeat, Riverton Parke broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-4. As for Attica, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Attica has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Riverton Parke struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Attica might still be hurting after the 15-1 defeat they got from Riverton Parke when the teams last played on Saturday. Can the Red Ramblers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
