Basketball Recap: Amity Extends Winning Streak to 24

Amity put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 59-37 margin over the Philomath Warriors. Amity has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 games by 22 points or more this season.

Amity pushed their record up to 24-0 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Philomath, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-4.

Amity and Philomath should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Amity (ranked seventh) will meet Dayton (ranked 125th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Amity's defense has only allowed 28.9 points per game this season, so Philomath's offense will have their work cut out for them. Meanwhile, Philomath will face off against North Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 120 places (10 vs. 130).
