Preview: Blair Blazers vs. Magruder Colonels
Blair is 1-8 against Magruder since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Blair Blazers will head out on the road to face off against the Magruder Colonels at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Blair came up short against Rockville and fell 62-54. Blair has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Magruder kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Wootton. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Aiden Dabbondanza, who scored 24 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Sekou Bangoura, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals.
The losses dropped Blair to 0-2 and Rockville to 1-1.
Things could have been worse for Blair, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 76-57 loss to Magruder in their previous matchup back in February. Can Blair avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
