Basketball Recap: Trinity Bulldogs vs. Providence Grove Patriots
Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the Providence Grove Patriots. The game was a 23-23 toss-up at halftime, but the Bulldogs couldn't quite close it out.
Trinity lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Walker Parrish, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Zy'Iveon Holmes, who earned 17 points and five rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Providence Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrew Thomas, who put up 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Trinity (ranked 607th) will meet Eastern Randolph (ranked 219th) at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. Similarly, Providence Grove (ranked 405th) will meet Randleman (ranked 53rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
