The Maroon Tide earned some postseason bragging rights after a successful outing last week. They claimed a resounding 56-7 win over Eastern Montgomery. Galax was heavily favored coming into this contest, and the results showcase why.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Auburn. They were the clear victors by a 44-12 margin over Covington. Malachi Spencer and Payson Kelley were among the main playmakers for Auburn as the former rushed for 120 yards and one TD on seven carries and the latter rushed for 68 yards and two TDs on 15 carries. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time Spencer has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season.
