Basketball Recap: Watson Chapel Comes Up Short

Watson Chapel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the Hot Springs Trojans and fell 79-46. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Watson Chapel's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hot Springs, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Watson Chapel will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on De Queen at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Hot Springs, they will head out to take on Conway at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hot Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matches -- so hopefully Conway likes a good challenge.
