Basketball Recap: Groveton Takes a Loss

Groveton won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 53-20 loss at the hands of the Leon Cougars. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Groveton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Leon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Groveton will host Lovelady at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leon, they will head out on the road to challenge Grapeland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
