Recap: Yosemite Badgers vs. Buhach Colony Thunder
The Yosemite Badgers struggled with assists on Saturday (the Buhach Colony Thunder had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Yosemite was dealt a 60-33 loss at the hands of Buhach Colony. Yosemite has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Yosemite saw an underclassman step up: Fallon Vaughn scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Buhach Colony's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaiden Sahota, who scored 11 points. The matchup was Sahota's third in a row with at least ten points. Dylan Garcia was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Yosemite's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Buhach Colony, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Yosemite's road trip will continue as they head out to face Strathmore at 4:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Buhach Colony and Central Valley will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 27, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Central Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday.
