Football Game Preview: Battle Ground Academy Wildcats vs. Franklin Road Academy Panthers + How To Watch

The Battle Ground Academy Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Franklin Road Academy Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are still undefeated after four games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Battle Ground Academy challenged Greenwich Country Day two weeks ago. The Wildcats claimed a resounding 62-28 victory over the Tigers. The Wildcats pushed the score to 62-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Battle Ground Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaedyn Marable, who threw for 324 yards and six TDs while completing 89.5% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. What's more, Marable racked up 168.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Maddox Porter was Marable's top target, picking up 103 receiving yards and three scores.

Meanwhile, Franklin Road Academy got the win against Davidson Academy on Friday by a conclusive 35-14. With the Panthers ahead 21-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Battle Ground Academy's record is now 4-0. As for Franklin Road Academy, their record now sits at an identical 4-0.

Battle Ground Academy beat Franklin Road Academy 28-21 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
