Recap: Winner Warriors vs. McLaughlin Mustangs
The Winner Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-47 win over McLaughlin. Winning may never get old, but Winner sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Leading Winner to victory were Shawn Hammerbeck and Aiden Barfuss. Hammerbeck dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Barfuss scored 18 points along with seven assists. Barfuss hasn't dropped below 18 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Craven, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Winner's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for McLaughlin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-5.
Winner will head out on the road to take on Platte/Geddes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Winner has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 193 points over their last three matches. As for McLaughlin, they will be playing at home against Standing Rock on Tuesday.
