Pasco is a perfect 5-0 against Gulf since April of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Pirates will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Pasco is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They lost 7-1 to Land O' Lakes on Tuesday.

Pasco saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Boomer Newton, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Gulf came up short against Seven Rivers Christian on Tuesday and fell 5-2.

Everything went Pasco's way against Gulf when the teams last played back in March of 2025, as Pasco made off with a 16-0 win. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buccaneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
